Saying the SOUND that letters make can be so powerful for early literacy. We speak, spell and read in letter SOUNDS, not letter names.

But if you weren't taught phonics at school, it's likely you're not feeling super confident saying the sounds a letter makes. Especially ones like Q, X, J, and L.
